In 2020, the Detector Advisory Group has formulated a Strategic Plan for Fermilab’s Detector R&D Program. This plan identified two high-priority research directions:
- Picosecond Timing Detector R&D
- Noble Element Detector R&D
- In addition, support for Blye Sky R&D, high risk, potentially revolutionary R&D, should be enhanced over the next few years.

Fermilab Strategic Plan for Detector R&D
In 2022, a task force led by Jonathan Lewis is working to define a Strategic Plan for Detector Facilities. The report will be posted here once it has been finalized.
