Join the Detector R&D community!

Interested in instrumentation, detector technologies, novel experimental techniques, or early-stage R&D? Fermilab brings together a broad community of scientists, engineers, technical experts, students, and collaborators working across many areas of detector development. The Detector R&D community is intended to make it easier for people to connect, learn about one another’s work, share expertise, and identify opportunities for collaboration across experiments, divisions, and institutions.

A simple way to stay connected is to join the detectors@fnal.gov mailing list. The list is used to share announcements about Detector R&D activities, including meetings, workshops, conferences, opportunities, and updates from the Research Techniques Seminar Series, which is held in a hybrid format. It also provides a community platform for sharing resources, asking questions, advertising relevant events, and reaching others who may have experience with a technology, technique, or experimental challenge relevant to your work.

Whether you are developing a new detector concept, looking for instrumentation expertise, interested in learning about work happening across Fermilab, or hoping to find collaborators with complementary technical knowledge, the mailing list is a good place to start.

To subscribe, send an email to listserv@fnal.gov with the following line in the body of the message:
